Superman & Batman: Generations I was a four-issue limited series written and drawn by John Byrne. An Elseworlds tale, it takes place in a continuity where characters age according to the calendar. Each issue contained two stories, each set 10 years apart starting in 1939 with the first meeting of Superman and Batman. It follows these heroes as they age, have children and pass the torch to younger heroes.
